Born in Curitiba – Brazil in 1987, Eduardo Mercuri had his first contact with music very early, and at age 11 began playing the guitar. In 2009 he received his bachelors degree in music education from Faculdades de Artes do Paraná. During his time at FAP Mercuri got exposed to all kinds of music, especially Brazilian genres and started playing mandolin, 10-string guitar and cavaquinho in addition to the electric and acoustic guitars. At this time he was really involved in the music scene in South Brazil playing a big variety of genres, from traditional Macedonian music to Gypsy Jazz. Neon Jazz is a radio program airing since 2011. Hosted by Joe Dimino and Engineered by John Christopher in Kansas City, Missouri giving listeners a journey into one of America's finest inventions.
