Jazz/Pop/Soul Group SUM Plugs Neon Jazz

from Neon Jazz KC · host Neon Jazz KC

NYC-based group, SUM, bring together jazz and soul with the upcoming release their self-titled debut album, SUM, out September 2018. The album showcases a combination of jazz, soul and pop introducing the driving force and philosophy of the band: To accept who you are as an artist, compose with weaknesses and strengths, and to understand that you are constantly evolving. This mission is best demonstrated in their single, “It’s Alright to Be Me”. Lyrically, the track explains what the word "sum" means, latin for “I” or “To Be”, all the while defining the band and their philosophy. It was created to be their anthem including the various sounds of Jazz, Soul, and Pop. Neon Jazz is a radio program airing since 2011.
