He has worked as a touring musician for Elton John, Linda Ronstadt, and Billy Vera, and you know his distinct guitar skills from his work with The Doobie Brothers + Steely Dan. More recently, he has worked as a defense consultant and advised U.S. members of Congress on missile defense. His first solo album, "Speed of Heat," was released last year to great acclaim.
