Se pudesse oferecer um presente a Fernando Pessoa, o meu convidado de hoje escolheria uma máquina fotográfica para que Pessoa nos ensinasse a fazer fotografias do imaginário. Jerónimo Pizarro, colombiano, um dos grandes pessoanos do nosso tempo, descobriu o poeta dos heterónimos algures entre a adolescência e a entrada na universidade, depois da leitura do Livro do Desassossego. Depois dessa leitura inicial quis conhecer Pessoa mais e melhor, e uns anos mais tarde, já em Portugal, confirmou o deslumbramento com o universo pessoano. Passo a citar: “Morri de amor pelo arquivo e pelas fontes. Acho que depois de procurar fontes nas montanhas mais altas da Colômbia precisava de encontrar os regatos, como diria Caeiro, ou melhor, as nascentes dos rios pessoanos.” Não sabemos se essa busca pelas nascentes pessoanas estará já concluída, mas o trabalho sobre o poeta da Ode Marítima mantém-se até hoje, não apenas na investigação como também na divulgação do enorme legado de Fernando Pessoa. Jerónimo Pizarro é professor, tradutor, crítico e editor, e também professor da Universidade dos Andes, titular da Cátedra de Estudos Portugueses do Instituto Camões na Colômbia e Prémio Eduardo Lourenço, em 2013.
