Martin Luther King Jr said “Faith is taking the first step even when you do not see the whole staircase.” But, you still need some fledgling faith on which to base your belief that your first step is going to land on the stair. Our faith, too, must be based upon some evidence and not be ‘blind’ faith. Hebrews 11 describes faith as confidence in God’s promises, even if we cannot yet see their fulfillment.
