窃江南乡试，自咸丰九年在浙江借闱特开万寿恩榜，并补行乙卯正科后，尚有戊午、辛酉、壬戌及本届四科，历经奏请展缓办理。迨本年六月，江宁省城克复，臣亲勘贡院，幸未全毁。当即鸠工庀材，饬派记名臬司黄润昌监视兴修，于八月十三日奏陈大概。
