Jim Ristow...You're Going to Kona

from Everyday Ironman Podcast · host Mike Bosch

Fans of the podcast should be familiar with Jim Ristow. He was the 2nd guest ever way back on Episode 3 and I reference him all the time. At that time he was a 10X Ironman Finisher and had plans to finish 2 more to become eligible for Ironman's Legacy Program.  His long-time dream was to "race" on the famous course in Kona, HI.Just 4 days after completing IMFL for his 12th full distance race, Jim agreed to share what the experience has been since we last spoke. He's changed jobs, moved to a new state and had to regroup after his original plan didn't work out the way he thought it would.Jim, in my opinion, exemplifies what it takes to be called and Ironman. He is resilient, determined, preservant and strong both physically and mentally. We congratulate Jim on his achievement, will be thinking about him as he prepares to take on a new challenge and routing/following him on race day.Support the show
