學佛答問集—父母親過世時，怎樣控制不傷心？ （第六五八集） 2001/1/17 新加坡佛教居士林 檔名：29-522-0658 問：「我雖知緣生緣滅大概的道理，但如要和父母親分離（老死）的時候，請問怎樣控制自己不傷心？」 答：這個問題，印光大師在《文鈔》裡面講得很多，講得很透徹。首先要了解，我們跟父母恩情特別厚，學佛之後才明瞭超越輪迴的道理，往生淨土是真正得到永生的道理。我們應當用佛法勸導父母，讓父母能夠依照佛法修學，我們將來同生極樂國。父母先去，我們後去，大家會到一個目的地，這是好事情，這樣你的心情自然就開展，就不會憂慮。我們還可以跟父母約好，將來自己往生的時候，你的父母跟阿彌陀佛一起來迎接你。這是可能的，不是妄想，確實可能；生到極樂世界，你的同參道友先走的都會跟阿彌陀佛一起來接引。所以不要傷心，你傷心，你過世的父母也傷心。他也不希望看到你傷心，他希望你用功，希望你在道業上成就，希望你將來一定得生淨土。 節錄自：21-090-0054學佛答問

The text is now available online. The CUV was translated by a panel with members from many different Protestant denominations, using the English Revised Version as a basis and original manuscripts for crosschecking.
