The Chockin Kind became the song’s best version & biggest chart success. It sold over a million copies. On the US Pop Charts it reached #13 and #17 in Canada. Though he had two other #1 songs, this would be Joe’s biggest hit. I enjoy listening to Joe Simmons version of the song, Chockin’ Kind. He left us in 2021 at age 85.
