John 12:12–19 — Hosanna

But while they celebrated, many were expecting a different kind of king—one who would meet their immediate desires and reshape their circumstances. Instead, Jesus came as the King they truly needed.At the center of this passage is a challenging truth:If we try to shape Jesus into the King we want, we may miss Him as the King He truly is.In this message, we reflect on:- How the crowd praised the King they wanted—not the King they had- Why Jesus’ humility (riding on a donkey) reveals the kind of King He is- The reality that we don’t always understand what God is doing in the moment- How everyone responds to Jesus—but not everyone truly believesThis passage invites us to examine our own expectations.
