As this day begins to draw towards its close, there may still be conversations echoing in your thoughts, responsibilities waiting for tomorrow or burdens that feel too heavy to carry alone. Before this evening slips away, take a quiet moment to pause in God’s presence. His peace is not hurried, and neither do we need to hurry as we come before Him. John 14:27 (NIV) “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” These words remind us that the peace of Jesus is unlike anything the world can offer. It is not dependent upon perfect circumstances but upon His faithful presence with us. As this evening unfolds, let’s quietly remind ourselves that fear will not win, because Christ has given us His peace, and His peace is greater than every anxious thought. Father, thank You for Your goodness throughout this day. Thank You for every quiet mercy, every unseen protection and every reminder that You have remained close beside us. Lord Jesus, receive every burden we still carry. Bring healing to those who are unwell, comfort to those who feel lonely, wisdom to those facing important decisions and peace to every restless heart. Help us to leave today’s worries with You and trust You with everything that tomorrow may bring. Holy Spirit, calm our minds, renew our strength and help us finish this day resting in the assurance of Christ’s unfailing love. Across the world, from Adelaide to Queenstown, from Singapore to Phoenix and Montevideo, may every listener discover the lasting peace that Jesus alone gives and carry that peace into the evening ahead.
