Send us your feedback — we’re listening JOHN 16:33 — JESUS HAS OVERCOME: A NIGHT PRAYER FOR PEACE WHEN LIFE FEELS DIFFICULT Themes: Peace • Trust • Rest Nations in this prayer: China • Hong Kong • Ghana • Nigeria • Rwanda • Uganda You do not have to solve everything tonight before you allow your heart to rest. SCRIPTURE — JOHN 16:33 (NIV) “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Now the day is coming to an end. Perhaps you are grateful for what went well, or perhaps you are still carrying something difficult from today. Jesus never pretended that life would be free from trouble. But He also never left His people without hope. He said, “Take heart! I have overcome the world.” Tonight we pray for people in China, Hong Kong, Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Uganda. Bring peace to homes where there has been tension, comfort to those carrying sorrow, and courage to people facing tomorrow with uncertainty. Holy Spirit, settle anxious hearts and turn our attention towards Jesus. Lord Jesus, we cannot solve every problem before we sleep. So we release them to You. The conversation we keep replaying, the person we are worried about, the decision waiting for us tomorrow, and the things happening beyond our control—we place them into Your hands. You have overcome the world. That does not mean every difficulty disappears tonight, but it means trouble does not have the final word. So we choose to take heart. We choose to trust You. We choose to rest. Jesus, guard our minds from fear during the night. Let Your presence become more real to us than the worries that have followed us through the day. Tomorrow will come in its own time. Tonight belongs to You. We rest in the victory of Jesus. Amen. Blessing: May Jesus fill your heart with peace tonight, quiet your thoughts and help you rest in the confidence that He has overcome. night prayer for peace, prayer before sleep, prayer when life is difficult, John 16:33 prayer, Christian prayer for anxiety, prayer for rest, Jesus has overcome prayer, Jesus, peace, trust, rest, sleep, victory, hope, Christian, devotion A night prayer for peace and rest after a difficult day.
