Jon Charnis - Robot Heart - Free Burn 2021

from Robot Heart · host Robot Heart

Truthfully, when my friends at Robot Heart asked me if I was coming to the Renegade Burn, I had no real plans to attend, expecting to wait yet another year to return home. However, when I learned the camp was collectively coming together to celebrate the life of Geo and expressed that it would mean a lot to them if I could come and share my music for the occasion, how could I say no? And then in true playa fashion, plans miraculously came together and I found myself in a strangely familiar yet unfamiliar environment. The Renegade Burn was not THE Burning Man event we all have come to love and expect. But it had a unique magic to it, perhaps similar to the Burning Man years of old. For this set in honor of Geo, my intention was to debut some brand new music from myself as well as bring back some timeless classics that always resonated with me. I hope it also resonates with you on some level. Thanks as always to the Robot Heart family for the constant support, and of course to all the dancers and creators that make up our community. I am happy to have played a small part in celebrating the amazing life of the one and only Geo.
