The storm was not a coincidence. The storm was intentional. The Hebrew word hêṭîl—translated "hurled". Means more than just "sent." It implies "to cast," "to hurl," or "to throw down" with force and intent. It means a deliberate and powerful act of God, unleashing the storm directly upon the sea.
