A man named Charles Taze Russell starts a magazine in Pennsylvania called Zion’s Watch Tower. That’s the beginning of the orgin we know today as Jehovah Witnesses. Jehovah’s Witnesses Follow the beliefs of Arius. Popular. Good with a crowd. But he was a heretic and taught, “There was a time when the Son was not.”He didn’t say Jesus was bad. He said Jesus was not eternal. That He was a created being. The first thing God ever made. The greatest thing God ever made. But that He was MADE.

ANOTHER GOSPEL | Mormonism (Latter Day Saints) || Jordan Hodges
Thank you for joining us for Christian Faith Center’s Sermon of the week. This message is from our Nampa Location. Pastor Jordan kicks off our new message series "ANOTHER GOSPEL" Now, some people might wonder if a series like this is a little controversial, but the truth is what sets us free. As followers of Jesus, we need to know what we believe and be equipped to have loving, helpful conversations with people who might believe a different gospel.Today, we are talking about Mormonism and answering a big question: Are Mormons Christians? In light of biblical and historical Christianity, the answer is actually no. Here are five key reasons why:First, Mormons believe in a different God. Their founder, Joseph Smith, taught that God the Father was once a man on another planet who progressed to become God. But the Bible clearly tells us that God does not change. He is the eternal "I Am," and there never has been and never will be another God besides Him.Second, they believe in a different Jesus. Mormon doctrine teaches that Jesus is the first spirit child born to a Heavenly Father and Mother, which would make him the spirit brother of Lucifer. But scripture tells us that Jesus is eternal, begotten and not created, and has no brotherly relation to the devil.Third, Mormons rely on a different authority. They believe the Bible was corrupted over time and that the Book of Mormon was needed to correct it. However, historical discoveries like the Dead Sea Scrolls prove that our scriptures have been supernaturally preserved and remain incredibly accurate. God takes His word seriously and warns us never to add to or subtract from it.Fourth, they believe in a different destiny. Mormonism teaches there are three degrees of glory in heaven, where the highest level allows faithful Mormons to become gods of their own worlds. The Bible, on the other hand, teaches only two eternal outcomes: eternal life in heaven with Christ, or eternal judgment. Finally, Mormons believe in a different gospel of salvation. They teach a system of works where grace only kicks in to fill the gaps of what you cannot do yourself. But the true gospel is built on grace alone. We cannot earn our salvation; it is a free gift from God through faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross.

JONAH | The God of Storms || Jordan Hodges
Thank you for joining us for Christian Faith Center’s Sermon of the week. This message is from our Nampa Location. Pastor Jordan continues our message series "JONAH"Jonah 1:4 NLT: But the Lord hurled a powerful wind over the sea, causing a violent storm that threatened to break the ship apart.Sometimes God will throw a storm into your story. The storm was not a coincidence. The storm was intentional. The Hebrew word hêṭîl—translated "hurled". Means more than just "sent." It implies "to cast," "to hurl," or "to throw down" with force and intent. It means a deliberate and powerful act of God, unleashing the storm directly upon the sea.

JONAH | God Does What He Wants || Jordan Hodges
Thank you for joining us for Christian Faith Center’s Sermon of the week. This message is from our Nampa Location. Pastor Jordan kicks off our new message series "JONAH"We have been conditioned, especially in church culture, to believe that God uses us despite our weaknesses. That He's constantly working around our rough edges, tolerating our blind spots, and somehow pulling off his purposes in spite of who we are. And there's truth in that. Sometimes God doesn't just work around your flaws. Sometimes he works through them.

FATHER'S DAY | "I AM" || Monty Sears
Thank you for joining us for Christian Faith Center’s Sermon of the week. This message is from our Nampa Location. Pastor Monty Sears brings a special message for Father's Day.In the Gospel of John alone, this all important name, spoken by Jesus, is repeated seven times. THE MOUNT | Can You See Me Now || Jordan Hodges
Thank you for joining us for Christian Faith Center’s Sermon of the week. This message is from our Nampa Location. Pastor Jordan wraps up our message series "THE MOUNT"Matthew 5:8 (NLT) God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God.When Jesus used "pure/clean" (katharos), Jewish listeners would immediately have thought of all the purity laws in Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy. In the religious culture of Jesus's day, purity laws dominated the Temple worship. They identified religion with rules which had to do with cleanness and uncleanness... Jesus identified religion with the state of a person's heart. Jesus was radical.

THE MOUNT | The Comfort of the Broken || Jordan Hodges
Thank you for joining us for Christian Faith Center’s Sermon of the week. This message is from our Nampa Location. Pastor Jordan continues our message series "THE MOUNT"We live in a world that is wired for distractions to avoid feeling pain. If your heart stops "feeling" the weight of your sin or the brokenness around you, that thing has something wrong with it. We often fill our lives with busyness and entertainment to numb the ache internally. Mourning isn't just for funerals; it’s about a heart that is soft enough to be saddened by what saddens God.

THE MOUNT | The Gift Of Nothing || Jordan Hodges
Thank you for joining us for Christian Faith Center’s Sermon of the week. This message is from our Nampa Location. Pastor Jordan continues our message series "THE MOUNT"Matthew 5:3 NLT: "God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs."We are taught to build our "spiritual resume" with good deeds and moral behavior. Jesus isn't talking about being "a little bit humble." He’s talking about being spiritually bankrupt. You don't get into the Kingdom by bringing something to God. You get in by admitting you have nothing to bring. In the Kingdom of God, if you are overqualified (full of yourself), you are disqualified.

Hunger and thirst in a much deeper way. To hunger and thirst shapes much of our life!

Thank you for joining us for Christian Faith Center’s Sermon of the week. This message is from our Nampa Location. Pastor Jordan kicks off our new message series "GROWING PAINS" John 15:1-8 (NLT)In this passage Jesus is introducing us to a concept that is hard for many of us to understand. That concept is necessary endings! It’s the idea that some things must be ended and removed before other things can GROW! The word “ending” just scares most people! We hear the term and we just cringe! Many avoid “endings” because we fear the unknown! We have had past painful endings! We are fear loss and pain! This is why many don’t grow and why many fear growth....

Thank you for joining us for Christian Faith Center’s Sermon of the week. This message is from our Nampa Location. Pastor Jordan wraps up our message series "JESUS STORIES" The physical resurrection of Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of the Christian Faith. People have many opinions about Jesus. And claimed the proof of that would be that He would die and three days later He would rise from the dead!

This was about the temple, for Jesus! This was a prophetic picture!

Thank you for joining us for Christian Faith Center’s Sermon of the week. This message is from our Nampa Location. Does this mean the rapture of the church is closer? Is this setting the stage for the end times? With biblical Persia being modern day Iran... There are certainly implications! This wouldn’t be the first time the prince of Persia had been restrained so that God’s will could be done!

So this spirit works to diminish! Over history many religious groups have denied the works and deity of Christ to dimmish who He is....
