from weMove Podcast · host weMove

As we gear up to the podcasts of our last US trip we are putting out 3 conversations that complete Issue 2 and lead into 2019 and the movement revolution that is gathering pace. This week we release the conversation with Jonny Paskowitz (@jonnysurfer). Second eldest in the legendary Paskowitz surf family. Their tale is like an extended Huckleberry Finn, an entire family of 11 living in a camper van, travelling the US surfing daily, competing and living by the laws of nature, lead by their father Dorian “Doc” Paskowitz. We got to know of Jonny through a friend of ours and a chance encounter with “Doc’s" book "Surfing and Health - Live long live well”, where Doc laid out a manifesto for living to out potential, preceding much of the wellness and health boom that we re surrounded by today.Quite the forward thinker under Docs philosophy of “Eat clean, live clean, surf clean”, the kids were introduced to the ocean and made to surf every day as soon as they could swim. Jonny’s tales are equally engaging from of moving to Israel as a young teen, sleeping under a boat on the beach, whilst surfing as by day and in clubs by night.
