Jono Ridler (NZ record holder for longest open water swim)

from The Dom Harvey Podcast

Just 4 days before recording this podcast, Jono Ridler had SMASHED the New Zealand open water swim distance record when he swam 99 kilometers (previous record was 80km)His 33 hour non-stop swim without a wetsuit started on a fine Tuesday morning and finished on a very story Wednesday night.I really hope you guys like this chat. Jono is not a big name guest…he’s just a regular guy who has done something incredible and inspiring. Actually, to give you an idea of just how regular he is, after finishing this 99km swim on Wednesday night he spent Thursday in Hospital then was back at work on Friday! . I absolutely love that- ordinary people doing extraordinary thingsThere are lots of lessons in here about staying positive and not giving up when things get hard. Even some techniques that any of us can use to achieve greatness in our own lives, whatever your goal is.Thanks very much to my mates at Radix nutrition for sponsoring this episode. Check out their game changing products online at:https://radixnutrition.co.nz/    Hosted on Acast.
