Mae o bellach yn byw yng Nghaerdydd. Dysgodd y Gymraeg, ac aeth ymlaen i weithio fel tiwtor Cymraeg. Mae'n ymgyrchydd, athro iaith, ieithydd a cherddor. Bu'n gadeirydd Cymdeithas yr Iaith ac mae hefyd wedi ymgyrchu dros hawliau ffoaduriaid. Cyn dod i Gymru, roedd yn newyddiadurwr ac yn athro ieithoedd yn Abidjan. Roedd eisoes yn siarad nifer o ieithoedd, gan gynnwys Ffrangeg, Saesneg, Almaeneg a Swahili. Yn 2025, roedd Joseff yn y newyddion - fel y ffoadur cyntaf i sefyll fel ymgeisydd ar gyfer y Senedd.
