Kim Gatewood PT, DPT, NCS a seasoned clinician shares clinical pearls, hard-earned lessons, and practical takeaways.Kim Gatewood, PT, DPT, NCS, is an Associate Clinical Professor for Northern Arizona University’s Program in Physical Therapy at the Phoenix Bioscience Core. She also works at HonorHealth John C. Lincoln Medical Center and serves on the CEU Committee for the Arizona Physical Therapy Association. Kim obtained her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1981 and her Post Professional Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2008. She has worked in acute, sub-acute and outpatient settings with patients with a variety of orthopedic, medical and neurologic diagnosis across the age spectrum from pediatric to geriatric. As a Board Certified Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy, Kim’s passion is to teach acute care and neurologic physical therapy to students and fellow professionals as well as to treat medically complex patients and individuals with multiple trauma and neurologic diagnoses. She is a mentor in the HonorHealth and NAU Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program. She has instructed in continuing education courses in proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation around the country and in Saudi Arabia.
