The day is finished now. Whatever it brought you, whatever went well and whatever didn’t, you don’t have to carry the whole of it into the night. There may still be things you wish you had handled differently, questions you cannot answer yet, or situations you know will still be waiting for you tomorrow. But tonight, we come back to something wonderfully simple: God is able to keep you. Scripture (NIV) “To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy.” — Jude 24 Heavenly Father, thank You that our security does not depend upon our ability to get everything right. You know our weaknesses, our mistakes and the places where we sometimes lose our footing. Yet You do not turn away from us. You are able to keep us. Lord Jesus, as this day closes, help us release the things we cannot change. Where we stumbled today, give us grace to learn without living in condemnation. Where we succeeded, keep us humble and thankful. Where tomorrow feels uncertain, help us trust You without needing to know every detail. Holy Spirit, settle our hearts tonight. Guard our minds from rehearsing every mistake and imagining every possible problem. Give us the quiet confidence that comes from knowing our lives are held by God. We cannot see everything ahead, but You can. We cannot control everything, but You remain faithful. So tonight, we place ourselves, our families, our hopes and our unfinished concerns into Your hands. Fear will not win, because God is able to keep us, and His faithfulness is greater than our weakness. Rest tonight knowing that you are not holding yourself together alone. The God who guided you today, strengthened you through weakness and watched over you is still with you now. Sleep in His care, and rise tomorrow with fresh mercy and fresh hope.
