It could be easy to gloss over the fact that the Israelites were under Philistine rule for 40 years. Forty years ago Ronald Reagan was president and in forty years many listening to this podcast will be home in heaven. Sometimes due to sin and evil in the world God will allow long seasons of challenges. He is still God, He has still performed marvelous works throughout history and He is still worthy of us following Him to the end.
