【Judges 19:1】

「And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite staying in the remote mountains of Ephraim. He took for himself a concubine from Bethlehem in Judah.」 Amen. What a dark chapter this is. The Levite who, without regard for himself, kept a concubine; the father and husband who, in the face of danger, sought to sacrifice their daughter and concubine for their own sake. Finally, the horrific account is recorded: they placed the fallen woman on a donkey's back, and upon arriving home, cut her body into twelve pieces and sent them throughout the land of Israel. The era of the Judges was one where each person walked their own selfish path. This chapter also confronts us with how far people can fall when they turn away from God. May we walk in the Lord's ways today as well... God bless you. See you tomorrow.
