Friends of the Rosary,Today, in Matthew 9:1–8, the Gospel's main reading, Christ the Lord heals a paralytic after first forgiving his sins. "Your sins are forgiven." The Son of God forgives our sins because he doesn't want us to be paralyzed by darkness. He is bringing us to a new future, a deeper life of peace, hope, and fulfillment. Sin is our nonsense refusal to live in accordance with the big plans that God has for us, in this present life or in the next one.
