July 22 | Stop Living Under Guilt

Today's reading from Psalm 31–32 and Acts 23:16–35 reminds us that God is both our refuge and our Redeemer. Whether we are weighed down by guilt or surrounded by uncertainty, He is continually at work, shaping our trust through His faithful care and His gracious forgiveness over time.In Psalm 31–32, David moves from distress to joy as he discovers the freedom that comes through honest confession. Rather than hiding his sin, he brings it before the Lord and experiences the relief of having the burden lifted. These psalms remind us that God's forgiveness restores not only our relationship with Him but also the peace within our hearts.In Acts 23, Paul finds himself at the center of a dangerous conspiracy, yet God quietly protects him through unexpected people and ordinary circumstances. The Lord's guidance is evident even when Paul cannot see the entire path ahead, demonstrating that God's purposes continue to unfold through His faithful provision.Together, these passages invite us to slow down and remember that God removes the burdens we confess and faithfully guides the lives we entrust to Him. As we continue returning to Him day after day, He forms hearts that know both the freedom of forgiveness and the confidence of His care.
