July 25 | Telling Your Story

Today’s reading from Psalm 37–39 and Acts 26 invites us to reflect on the stories our lives are telling and how faith is formed as we learn to recognize God’s presence across changing circumstances. Both passages reveal people looking honestly at their experiences and finding language for the ways God has sustained, corrected, and directed them over time.In Psalms 37–39, David reflects on injustice, waiting, weakness, sin, and the brevity of life. His words reveal a steady rhythm of bringing his full experience before God rather than hiding it, allowing trust and obedience to shape his identity even when his circumstances remain unresolved.In Acts 26, Paul stands before King Agrippa and responds to the accusations against him by sharing his testimony. He explains who he was, how Jesus met him, and how that encounter gave him a new calling, showing an awareness that his story is ultimately a witness to the grace and purpose of Christ.Together, these passages invite us to consider the story that has been forming through our own lives. They encourage us to notice where God has met us, how He has shaped us, and what it means to speak about His work with honesty, humility, and Jesus at the center.
