July 5 – Day 186. Pray with exceeding gladness

Our scripture will be taken from Matthew 5:12, and it reads: “Rejoice and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” The Lord wants us to embrace the joy found in our prayers, for the treasures that await us in heaven far exceed our wildest dreams and deepest desires. Let us take a moment to reflect on the remarkable stories of those who have paved the way before us, those who faced persecution and endured suffering and still remained determined in their beliefs. As we pray, let the legacies of the prophets before us inspire our own paths as we strive to uphold our beliefs, no matter the trials we may encounter. For the Lord is reminding us that our lives when we do right serve as powerful testaments of resistance and faith, explaining our journey towards the eternal life that awaits us. Even in the darkest moments, we can find strength and hope.Support the show
