Jun 29 - Day 180. Prayer and Tithes.

Send us Fan MailWelcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. As mentioned earlier, our prayers throughout the year will be taken from the 66 books of the Bible. We began in the book of Genesis and will conclude in the book of Revelation. Today, we are diving into the book of Malachi. Our scripture will be taken from Malachi 3:10, and it reads “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” The Lord is emphasizing the importance of faithfulness in giving, highlighting the promise of divine generosity in return. He is encouraging us to pay our tithes and be obedient in our giving. He wants us to bring all the tithes into the storehouse of our churches, so that there may be provisions in our dwelling place. He wants us to test him and see if he will not open up the windows of heaven and pour out abundant blessings that we will not have space sufficient to receive them.As we pray, let us ask the Lord for directions to follow his will in giving. For the "storehouse" symbolizes a place where community needs can be met, and the act of tithing becomes a means of inviting extraordinary blessings into one’s life. Support the show
