Friends of the Rosary, In today’s reading (Matthew 5:1–12), Christ Jesus ascends the mountain like Moses in the Old Testament when he receives the Commandments. The difference is that Jesus is giving a new law—or, better yet, explaining the fulfillment of the law of the prophets.
