Friends of the Rosary, In the Sermon on the Mount (Mt 5:43-48), Lord Jesus encourages us to "Be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect." Our heavenly Father makes the sun rise on the bad and the good and loves all of his children. Can we love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us? That's a measure of perfection. And what's love? Willing the good of the other, including those who cannot or will not pay us back. Jews, Romans, Pharisees, Sadducees, his disciples — everyone — betrayed, denied him, and most actively arranged for his death. And yet these are the very people He loves, the very people he gives his life to. This is how the Divinity loves us. This is how we must love others. Ave Maria!Jesus, I Trust In You!
