Just Get Outside

from Sit for the Task · host Matt and Sarah

We wouldn’t typically associate an ice rink with Southern California, yet Zeke Ottemiller is an excellent hockey player currently living in San Diego. Even through a busy work schedule, he still makes time to skate and compete in a men’s league. Zeke has been one of my good friends ever ever since I can remember. We started playing baseball together back in preschool and have stayed in touch ever since. About four years ago, Zeke and his wife Jess got married and moved to San Diego. Since then, they’ve been taking part in all sorts of outdoor activities and taking advantage of the beautiful 75 and sunny weather. In this episode, we discuss how we can stay fit for our tasks simply by doing them. Fitness doesn’t have to mean running or weightlifting. As far as Zeke and Jess’ fitness regimes go, they’re about finding something to do outside. Whether that’s roller skating, surfing, hiking, or even just taking a walk, finding something we enjoy can make all the difference.
