Just say YES!
from OVERFLOW with Kimberly Snider
Just say YES! Grab your fav cup, savour the moment with us... join my BFF and I as we chat about her adventure the arctic! Julie said "YES!" to a crazy trip! ...Camping in the arctic, need I say more? It was an all women expedition to Baffin Island, Nunavut, 8 days snowshoeing and having trained to build their strength to carry and pull their own gear, tents and supplies, as well as mentally prepare for the challenge, the weather, the unknown ... and the beauty! All together, civilian business leaders alongside women of the Canadian Armed Forces worked, walked, held each other up! Not only was this a trip of a lifetime, it was a commitment to mentorship, friendship and a conversation to reduce the stigma of mental health issues (their efforts raised critical funds for programs that directly support Veterans’ and more importantly their families.) Julie inspires us to: Start being comfortable with being uncomfortable. Have a singular goal and focus. Surrender, life your goggles and see the blue skies ahead. Find the opportunity to disconnect to reconnect. Seek out "your team" that lifts you up, fills up your energy, and if you need help, reach out and ask for help!
