Justice for Karmelo Anthony! Karmelo Anthony Sentenced to 35 Years in Prison For Fatal Stabbing of Austin Metcalf

In today's Brain Squeeze episode we discuss the unfortunate verdict of the Karmelo Anthony case. Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison for the fatal stabbing of Austin Metcalf, and he'll be eligible for parole in 17.5 years. Karmelo and Austin had a confrontation back in April of 2025 when Austin approached Karmelo at a school track meet and asked him to move from their tent, when Karmelo didn't move, Austin shoved Karmelo and the altercation heightened with Karmelo stabbing Austin in what he says was self-defense. While many in the community are not surprised by the verdict, it still is a painful result and continues to paint the picture of what it's like being Black in America.
