K2C 39 – Armor of God (Part 3): Shoes of the Gospel of Peace

In Ephesians 6, believers are told to put on the full armor of God—including having our feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace. But what do these "shoes" represent? In the ancient world, Roman soldiers wore sturdy sandals studded with metal spikes that helped them maintain traction during battle. Without secure footing, a soldier could easily lose ground. In the same way, Christians must be firmly grounded in the gospel so they can stand their ground against spiritual opposition. In this episode, Tracy continues the Armor of God series by exploring the meaning of the shoes of the gospel of peace and the role believers play as messengers of Christ. Just as ancient heralds prepared the roads before a king's arrival, followers of Jesus are called to prepare the way by bringing the good news of the gospel to the world. When our feet are "shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace," we become carriers of hope—letting the light of Christ shine through our lives and pointing others to the Savior. As Scripture says, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news."
