कार्यसंस्कृतिः

कश्चन अमेरिकीयः घण्टामात्रं कार्यं कृत्वा घण्टाद्वयस्य निमित्तं वेतनं प्राप्तुं नेच्छति । खिन्नः सः यदा मित्रं वदति तदा 'तद्विषये संस्था चिन्तयतु, शिष्टं समयं सुखेन यापयतु' इति वदति । तदा अमेरिकीयः वदति - ‘तेन संस्थायाः हानिः भवति । तेन देशस्य अर्थस्थितेः हानिः भवति । अतः देशस्य उन्नतिः साधनीया चेत् देशस्थैः सर्वैः कार्यसंस्कृतिविषये अवधानवद्भिः भवितव्यम् एव’ इति ।(“केन्द्रीयसंस्कृतविश्वविद्यालयस्य अष्टादशीयोजनान्तर्गततया एतासां कथानां ध्वनिप्रक्षेपणं क्रियते”)A certain American did not wish to receive payment for two hours of work when he could finish it within an hour. Disturbed, he told this to a friend. His friend replied, 'Let the company worry about this, and you can spend the rest of the time comfortably.' The American then responded, 'This would result in the company's loss, which would, in turn, lead to a loss in the country's economy. Hence, everyone in the country must be mindful of the work ethic.
