Instagram:   / mazda.rsDroge su bile duboko utkane u funkcionisanje Trećeg rajha, od metamfetamina koji je u obliku pervitina deljen vojnicima u milionima tableta, preko opioida i kokaina koje je Hitler primao svakodnevno, pa do eksperimenata sa psihodeličnim supstancama u koncentracionim logorima. Na tržištu nacističke Nemačke čak je postojala čokolada s dodatkom metamfetamina, namenjena domaćicama koje su morale da ostanu kod kuće, dok su im muževi bili na ratnim bojištima. Uprkos tome što su Drugi svetski rat i nacistička Nemačka među najtemeljnije istraženim temama u istoriji čovečanstva, ovakve informacije su sve do 2015. godine javnosti bile nepoznate. Te godine je objavljena knjiga „Odvaljeni: Droge u Trećem rajtu“, koja je promenila način na koji gledamo period nacističke Nemačke, otkrivajući značajnu ulogu masovne upotrebe droga.  Autor ove knjige je Norman Oler, ekskluzivni gost naredne epizode našeg podkasta. Nemački pisac, novinar i scenarista je pet godina proveo u vojnim i državnim arhivima Nemačke i SAD, istražujući dokumente od kojih mnogi nisu otvoreni još od kraja Drugog svetskog rata, uključujući dnevnike Hitlerovog ličnog lekara, čoveka koji je sa firerom provodio više vremena nego bilo ko iz njegovog okruženja. Olerov prvi roman, „Die Quotenmaschine“ iz 1995. bio je prvi hipertekstualni roman u svetskoj književnosti, dok je njegov drugi roman „Mitte“ nemački Špigl proglasio remek-delom. Bio je koscenarista za film „Palermo shooting“ Vima Vendersa.
