The Lushner for Decon Studies. The young are all on flan. They're all on the floor. We have a conversation about others, and they are all about the same.
They are only on public stories. But we have to move through our own personal comments. And they are all about the same. They are all about the same.
And I will talk to you about the In-depth situation. The media is the first and the most important thing in the world. I am going to have a question about the LMS scheme. I am going to talk about the eight of the world's most important thing.
But I am going to share with you the recent reports who are starting to come here. the of the American people. At the bottom of Kremlin's neurotic view were world affairs, a traditional and instinctive Russian sense of insecurity. Originally this was insecurities of peaceful agricultural people trying to live on a vast exposed plain in a neighbourhood of fierce nomadic peoples.
To this was added, as Russia came into contact with economically advanced West, fear of more competent, more powerful, more highly organised societies in that area. But this leopard type of insecurity was one which afflicted rather Russian rulers than Russian people. Russian rulers have invariably sensed that their rule was relatively archaic in the form of fragile and artificial in its psychological foundation, unable to stand comparison or contact with political systems of Western countries. For this reason they have always feared a foreign penetration, feared a direct contact between Western world and their own, feared what would happen if Russians learned truth about world without or if foreigners learned truth about world within, and they have learned to seek security only impatient but deadly struggle for total destruction of rival power.
Never in compacts and compromises with it. The Andreyat, Soviet Union and Comrithya, are the first to be a political force committed to the belief that with US there can be no permanent moodus within that it is desirable and necessary that the internal harmony of our society be disrupted, our traditional way of life be destroyed, the international authority of our state broken, if Soviet power is to be secure. To use it, he rarely has to do so. If situations are properly handled, there will need be no prestige engaging showdowns.
We will never hire some leather-fram to be held in the slut of the Soviet Union, as a policy of containment. In the George Kennan, Soyuz the Agette, our first step must be to apprehend and recognize for what it is the nature of the movement with which we are dealing. We must study it with the same courage, detachment, objectivity and same determination not to be emotionally provoked or unceited by it, with which doctors studies are unruly and unreasonable for the individual. I will say this, but I am not sure how much we are involved in this discussion.
We must say that the public is educated to the reality of the Russian situation. I cannot overemphasize the importance of this. Press cannot do this alone. It must be done mainly by government, which is necessarily more experienced and better informed on practical problems involved.
In this, we need not be deterred by ugliness or picture. I am convinced that there would be far less hysterical anti-sovietism in our country today if reality is of this situation we are better understood by our people. There is nothing as dangerous or as terrifying as the unknown. of the western world.
And these are the three main problems that discussion on the president are the evolution of the society. In other words, the reality of the university is the importance of the political side. But it's not as important as the society. The world should be thinking about what we are making possible, but in fact, we should asked me at the door in the window.
The French American people have followed the law and put together a letter to our legal issues in the slide. She thought this is a point at which domestic and foreign policies meet. Every courageous and incisive measure to solve internal problems of our own society, to improve self-confidence, discipline, moral, and community spirit of our own people is a diplomatic victory over Moscow, worth 1,000 diplomatic notes and joint communiques. If we cannot abandon fatalism and indifference in face of deficiencies of our own society, Moscow will profit.
Moscow cannot help profiting by them in its foreign policies. So it's not. Shandirip Appad, Intem. Now, Niberi, we are part of the Fatil-Felek Mislukas, get off, mahar.
George Cameron's Fiyadapungt, Sitat. We must formulate and put forward for other nations a much more positive and constructive picture of the sort of world we would like to see than we have put forward in past. It is not enough to urge people to develop political processes similar to our own. Many foreign peoples in Europe at least are tired and frightened by experiences of past, and are less interested in abstract freedom than in security.
They are seeking guidance rather than responsibilities. We should be better able than Russians to give them this, and unless we do, Russians certainly will, Sitat. Ortrian, we're fucked. This is the reward that Nomefem, Adiastik Yassitya, the Inleani and the Orsnietat, Niyul-Yul-Som, Nemlian Sitat.
Finally, we must have courage and self-confidence to cling to our own methods and conceptions of human society. The greatest danger that can befall us in coping with this problem of Soviet communism is that we shall allow ourselves to become like those with whom we are coping. Sitat. We'll tell you the Notification that the story of Starlin and Stalin, and how people who are not convinced to live in the Middle East and have not discussed with the Europeans, are just the ones that have been, in the great sense, that we have, in the capital of the British and economic policy countries, who are interested in political and social rights.
And this is what answers the story of Starlin, and in the United States. About 30,000 people have invaded this small Middle Western town, and if we don't see many of them in the street, it's because they were crowding the campus of Westminster College. But what we might call the collection of another degree wasn't the big event this time. It was Churchill's speech, now awaited by about 3,000 people inside, 30,000 outside, and the rest of the world.
Toilet the Senews of Peace, in Tresirablamana, but yeah, I'm not going to do it. From Stettin, in the Baltic, to Tres in the Adriatic, and I am uncertain and descended across the continent, I do not believe that so get Russia's desires walled. From what I have seen of our Russian friends and allies during the war, I am convinced that there is nothing they admire so much as strength, and that nothing for which they have less respect than for weakness in special military movement. and the the the second the and the the the the the the the of Silicon.

For six decades after the Second World War, an American paxpecific however, has provided the security and economic framework within which Asian countries have produced most rapid economic growth in history. However, having emerged as a great power that will overtake the US in the next decade to become the largest economy in the world, it is not surprising that China will demand revisions to the rules established by others.
Silti-tot. We get into the very first question that the Silti-tot is in the world, and the Silti-tot is more likely to be slinging to the world's most important question. The defining question about global order in the decades ahead will be, can China and the US escape to thi-di-di's trap? The historian's metaphor reminds us of the danger's two parties face when a rising power rivals ruling power, as Athens did in 5th century BC and Germany did at the end of the 19th century.
Most such challenges have ended in war. Peaceful cases required huge adjustments in the attitudes and actions of the governments and the societies of both countries involved. Classical Athens was the center of civilization. Philosophy, history, drama, architecture, democracy all beyond anything previously imagined.
This dramatic rise shocked Sparta, the established land power on the Peloponnese. Fear compelled its leaders to respond. Threat and counter-threat produced competition, then confrontation and finally conflict. At the end of thirty years of war, both states had been destroyed.
To thi-di-di's wrote of these events, quote, it was the rise of Athens and the fear that this inspired in Sparta that made war inevitable. End quote. Note the two crucial variables, rise and fear. The rapid emergence of any new power disturbs the status quo.
In the 21st century, as Harvard's universities, commission on American national interests has observed about China, quote, a devolve such proportions cannot enter the stage without effect end quote. Never has a nation moved so far so fast up the international rankings on all dimensions of power. In a generation, a state whose gross domestic product was smaller than Spain's has become the second largest economy in the world. Under the weekend, CITOT China has already decided Cold War II has begun and now it's escalating CITOT.
Like Al-Assad, CITOT some argue that the danger of US-China war is growing. What that Mrs. a prominent Asian business leader told me this week is that China has already decided the war has begun. Like the Cold War before it, the outcome is unlikely to be decided by military means.
Also, like the contest before it, the war will be fought not over days but over decades. Many argue that the war has been not over. The war has been over. The war has been over.
The war has been over. The war has been over. The war has been over. The war has been over.
The war has been over. The war has been over. CITOT broadly speaking analysts skeptical of the United States ability to counter a rise in China point to three factors coming from the European Union. They emphasize recent US foreign policy mistakes including the Trump administration's failure to create a new Pacific economic block via passage of the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
CITOT, the war has been over. The war has been over. The war has been over. The war has been over today.
The entire series has been over. The war has gone over, the East Asia Pacific in China, the East Asia Pacific in China. This has been over. The war has been over.
The other ones have already passed. The other two have passed. The rest of the U.S. and U.S.
and the U.S. are due to some sorts of leadership. And what they do in the US style is that the US government is going to end up having a problem with the US, and it is going to look People then wrote about the war of the Soviet Union. economy. By contrast, the Chinese economy is already larger than the United States in terms of purchasing power parity, which tends to be a more accurate measure of military potential than nominal gross domestic product because it better reflects the costs of obtaining military hardware in a country's own currency, Slip-Sidot. Of the year-hand, this is a machine that I am making. SIDOT, unlike the USSR, China is a major force in global trade.
According to one recent study, about 190 countries included in international monetary fund data on bilateral trade flows, 128 engage in more trade with China than with the United States. SIDOT, which is the US-China Strategic Competition, a Cold War, for it again, at SIDOT, Columbia University Professor Thomas Christensen argues in foreign affairs that the current US-China strategic competition cannot be labeled a Cold War as it lacks three essential and interrelated elements that define the US-Soviet Union conflict. One, the United States and China are not engaged in an ideological struggle to win the hearts and minds of third countries. Two, the United States and China are not leading alliances that could foster proxy wars and precipitate nuclear crises.
Tria, the global economy, has become so integrated that it cannot be separated into blocks and thus a containment strategy will not work. War-Puartik, in other words, Hillelott, Sridim LaSondar argument them, Han-Yous, Thali-Sidot. SIDOT, the Biden administration, has elevated the concept of rivalry over governance models, which was first formulated by the European Union to define one component of its relationship with China as a fundamental difference over core values, from respecting human and democratic rights to abiding by the rules-based international order. It's criticized China for its action in Xinjiang, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, aggression in the eastern South China seas and cyber attacks against the United States, as well as economic coercion against US allies.
Furthermore, the United States made a change in Chinese behavior, a precondition to an improvement in the relationship, stressing that these actions are not merely a matter of China's internal affairs, as Beijing often claims, but rather of grave concern to the international community. SIDOT, Brokomiho Ghatariyasu from Shugi Shirt. No. 3, SIDOT, the rivalry has slowly led to a bifurcation of the global economy.
It's discernible in high-tech areas such as the tension between digital authoritarianism and digital liberalism. Artificial intelligence and surveillance technologies satellites-based navigation for civilian and military uses and 5G-6G telecommunications. SIDOT. A very warm welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to our discussion today, Cold War II-0, that's the topic we want to talk about.
Of course, the Cold War ended in December 1991. This is a resolution of the spread union, but just 30 years later, Russia's war in Ukraine changed everything. So what is the situation now? Russia taking a stand against the West, an open stand, and are we now in a new era in Cold War II-0?
Or is it just going on, did the first Cold War never stop? SIDOT. End of the day, it's not the Ukraine issue that will decide the cause of the 21st century. As we all know in this room, the real contest in this century will be between the world's number one power, United States, and the world's number one emerging power, China.
SIDOT. A very warm welcome to the world's number one, the world's number one, the world's number one emerging power, the world's number one emerging power, the world's number one emerging power. In the short term, we're worried about Russia and Ukraine, it's more of a military. One term, the competition between the great world powers will be between the United States and China.
No question about it. I would say, I mean, it's a military and economic competition, but they're very good, you know, and they're worthy of the adversary. And we have to learn to compete better, I think. I would say we're in a Cold War with them, but I would say we've been in a Cold War of China for quite some time.
And I would take you back to 1997, I was a young federal prosecutor at Main Justice and prosecuted the Johnny Chunk case that then took us to the director of Chinese intelligence and China airspace, putting money into his Hong Kong bank account to then influence the presidential election. SIDOT. Look at the constant talk and call for cooperation with Communist China. Communist China is a Marxist Leninist regime that cannot peacefully coexist by its nature with the free world.
The way I think about our situation today is that we're in Cold War II, and this time China is the principal antagonist. It's taken the place of the Soviet Union. It's an ideological Cold War. It's technological.
It's geopolitical. It's all that we remember from the Cold War, but with the difference that the Chinese economy is much bigger than the Soviet economy ever was. And in many ways, we are in a relatively weak state, think only of the enormous debt that we've accumulated relative to the Cold War era. And my view is that we would be in considerable difficulty if we found ourselves simultaneously in crises in Europe.
We already are engaged in a proxy war there against Russia, which is in itself a proxy for China. And at least where I think Iran's aggression is likely to spill over into attacks on South Vietnam near future. The to grow stronger. Ok, as the U.S.
will be excluded from the G8, Moscow will have to make more use of the world's remaining global platforms, such as bilateral subjects with China or forums with fellow BRICS countries or with Shanghai Corporation organization countries. In all these forums, however, Beijing rather than Moscow will be the senior power. As a result, Moscow will lose its unique position of being present in all major multilateral organizations, both Western and non-Western.
