Met de toenemende vrees voor een grote regionale oorlog werken de Verenigde Staten, Europese bondgenoten en Arabische landen aan een voorstel voor een gevechtspauze tussen Israël en de Libanese militie Hezbollah. Zo moet er ruimte komen voor verdere onderhandelingen. Maar hoe realistisch is het plan? En in hoeverre zijn de strijdende partijen gecharmeerd van het voorstel? Daarover  Libanondeskundige Nora Stel. (09:53) In de Donbas vallen de dorpen nu als dominostenen De Russische opmars in het oosten van Oekraïne gaat gestaag door. Veel plaatsen in die Donbas worden nu door het Russische leger ingenomen, of dreigen te worden omsingeld. De Oekraïense defensie moet opgeven en terugtrekken. Ook strategisch belangrijke plaatsen worden bijna overlopen. Wat betekent dat - heel concreet - voor de mensen die er wonen?
