Karen Solomon Case: The First 5 Hours

On the morning of August 18th, three systems collided in Worcester, Massachusetts: a 911 center, a police department that had to investigate one of its own.Officers were called to Wildwood Avenue on a report of a person down. They found Kurt Solomon — 57 years old, a former military police officer, a 31-year veteran of the Worcester Police Department. Six days later, his wife Karen Solomon, co-founder of Blue H.E.L.P., was found dead in the woods off May Street.Worcester Police Chief Paul Saucier has said investigators believe this was a murder-suicide. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has not issued a ruling. Nobody has been tried, and nobody ever will be.
