KATIE ASMUS: On Nature As Healer

from Embodied and Awake

It is a true honor to introduce today's guest, Katie Asmus, the founder of the Somatic Wilderness Therapy Institute based here in Boulder, CO. I met Katie many moons ago, I would say at least 14 years ago, when I had the privilege of participating in a women's rites of passage circle with her and one of her colleagues. I immediately felt Katie's passion, spark, and ground in this important work. Over the years I have witnessed her blossoming as a pioneer and leader in the field of wilderness-based, somatic therapies. Our conversation is so inspiring as it really feeds the call for these times around stepping into our work in the world. Katie dives into the realm of somatic wilderness therapy and our interconnection with our bodies, the natural world, and each other. This episode is affirming on so many levels and will absolutely give you some juice to not only hear the call but answer it. ABOUT OUR GUEST: KATIE ASMUS Katie Asmus MA, LPC, BMP, describes her work as "bringing forth the innate wisdom within every-BODY, and opening people's minds and hearts to greater possibilities."
