Kelly O & Tania Evans on 90s Rave, Top of the Pops & The Originals Live Tour

Send us Fan MailKelly O & Tania Evans on 90s Rave, Top of the Pops & The Originals Live Tour On this episode of The MarshyCast, I’m joined by Kelly O (SL2 & Capella) and Tania Evans (Culture Beat) to look back at one of the most exciting periods in music — the early 90s rave scene. We talk about how both artists began their journeys, and how different their paths into the industry were, before finding themselves part of a movement that would define a generation. From chart success to performing on Top of the Pops, they share what it was like to see their music explode across clubs, charts and countries. We also explore why rave culture became so popular — and why, more than 30 years later, it’s finding a whole new audience. That resurgence is being brought to life through The Originals Live tour, featuring some of the biggest names from the era, including Anita Doth (2 Unlimited), Evi Goffin (Lasgo) and DJ Slipmatt, as the tour heads across Europe, including a stop in Portsmouth. It’s a nostalgic, energetic and fascinating look back at a scene that never really went away. 🎧 Available now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and wherever you listen. Find me on all social media @paulswampymarsh
