In today’s podcast, Fredrick is joined by entrepreneur Kevin Aries, who discusses his new business venture ‘September ready go’ an online summer camp built to get teens “September-Ready” both mentally and physically, armed with the tools they’ll need to close any gaps in their learning. Together they discuss popular memory techniques, how to integrate yourself within business communities and why this is crucial as well as the problems with mass education and how you can help your teenager outside of the classroom. KEY TAKEAWAYS Memory techniques are not something often taught. The people who will benefit the most from having good memories are children, who have to pass exams and learn large amounts of information. Humans are good at memorising places, stories and vivid images. A useful memory technique would be to encode a piece of difficult information to learn and you turn that into a vivid image, you store it mentally by picturing that information happening in a particular place and you create a story with the new information. If you are a business person and you are not already plugged into a business community then you should immediately do that. Go and find some people who are motivated and fired up, that community is full of people who are pivoting like crazy, taking their businesses online and finding new opportunities. The problem with mass education is that everybody gets average teaching. Use other recourses such as books to educate them in business and entrepreneurship to read outside of the classroom, or if you decide to homeschool them. If you are able to create a group of teenagers or young people who are highly motivated and fired up, they are likely to become entrepreneurs.
