Keys And Drums (Moby Sound)

from Radiant Abyss · host Radiant Abyss

I've been playing around with music and audio experiments ever since I was a teenager. My first experiments were done using the Windows 95 Wave editor and a tape deck. I would make all kind of odd soundscapes by layering, stretching and cutting whatever audion I could get my hands on. I later bought a Fostex 4 track and with whatever effect pedals and instruments I could bag, borrow or steal I would create even more elaborate audio oddities. I would rarely sit down and compose a "song." I would much rather see if I could control feedback, revers mask an acoustic and keyboard, or generate sounds purely with a computer. The final collection of all that's left from those years is represented here as "The Black Ink Collection." All these recordings are from 1996 to 2001. This effort is apart of the Radiant Abyss Production "The Arcive" the misspelled collection of tapes sitting in a friends basement. Here the recodings find their final home on digital.
