Theo luật bảo vệ môi trường năm 2020 có quy định, chậm nhất đến ngày 31/12/2024, các tỉnh, thành phố trực thuộc trung ương chính thức thực hiện việc phân loại rác tại nguồn. Tại các địa phương, công tác này đang được quyết liệt thực hiện.
