Her motto is “live life out loud.” Kimberly has been a guest speaker in cities worldwide, inspiring people to get to where they want to go. Her specialty is turning dreams into reality.

In this episode, Jennie and Kimberly discuss:

  •  Being a Joint Venture Super Connector, getting people on stages and in front of the right people to help grow their business
  • Studies have shown that we can only process 17 words at a time, so a twenty word introduction fits nicely into that space
  • Test your twenty word intro while networking. Have the person you just gave it to tell you what they heard. If they get it wrong or forget parts, you need to change it
  • If your twenty word intro is precise and memorable enough, people will remember it (and you) for months

Key Takeaways:

  • Doing what you’re good at is easy, but it won’t always be the thing that also makes you happy
  • The three mistakes you never should make when introducing yourself:
  1. Never say “I do a lot of things”
  2. Don’t be nebulous, give a real answer
  3. Don’t unload your full-blown 2 minute prepared speech, someone may just be asking to be polite
  • The four things you need to get into your 20 word introduction:
  1. Your first name only
  2. Who you serve or help
  3. What is their prize if they work with you, what do you have to offer
  4. What are you going to do to them
  • If you get interest after your twenty word introduction, THEN you can deliver your elevator speech

"Oftentimes, you're really not talking to the people that you're talking to, you're talking to their sphere of influence. When I talk to a room, I'm not just talking to entrepreneurs, I'm not just talking to authors. I'm talking to people that may know entrepreneurs or authors" —   Kimberly Hobscheid
