Kingdom Lens--The Battle for Truth

from Restoration: Where New Life Begins

Episode 1 — The Battle for TruthScripture: John 18:37–38; 2 Timothy 4:3–4Theme: Standing firm for truth in a world of confusion. In this opening episode, John unpacks one of the most pressing issues of our time — the struggle over truth itself. When Jesus stood before Pilate and declared, “For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth,” Pilate cynically replied, “What is truth?” (John 18:37–38). That same question echoes loudly in our culture today. We live in an age where feelings often outweigh facts, and personal preference is mistaken for moral authority. But God’s Word reminds us that truth is not an opinion to be shaped — it’s a Person to be known. Jesus Christ doesn’t merely speak truth; He is Truth (John 14:6).Drawing from Paul’s warning in 2 Timothy 4:3–4, the episode explores how easily people “turn away from listening to the truth” and chase after teachings that fit their desires. John challenges listeners to examine where they’re finding their truth — social media, culture, or Scripture — and calls believers to anchor their convictions in the unchanging Word of God.Ultimately, this episode invites the listener to join the “battle for truth” not with hostility, but with humility and courage — standing firm in love, holding fast to the gospel, and letting their lives reflect the reality that truth still matters because Jesus still reigns.Support the show
