Kirst - friend & MIM - on exercise, babies & moving to NZ at 15.

It's been a long time coming as we've wanted to have Kirst on the pod for a while. Kirst has been a dear friend of ours for years now; give or take 20 years, ever since her and her dad (John, who you'll get to know if you listen lol), first walked into the Wellington city gym and its reception was manned by a fresh faced Lisa Mizzi (now Fong!). When asked to come on the pod Kirst suggested she had nothing interesting to say - she was wrong. Her story is an interesting one, having moved with her family from South Africa to NZ at the very impressionable age of 15. Today we talk a lot about this; adjusting to a new culture and schooling environment, having to 'start again', just why she went to the gym with her dad, as well as meeting her husband and their pretty challenging journey to becoming parents to two beautiful girls (TW - miscarriage). As you can probably anticipate, today's stories take many a turn, and it was just such a pleasure to hear Kirst talk about these experiences as well as learn things about her we didn't know much about. Kirst, thank you for opening up and thank you for being such a great friend and support of ours.
