My dear friend Kim Jacobs gave me the description. She isn’t an artist but she has a very creative mind. I overheard her speaking about one of my paintings and she said to her son, “This is Esoteric Urbanism.” Her son at the time was around 14 years old and she then looked at me and said, “U can have that”. Ever since that day, I’ve called my art Esoteric Urbanism. Esoteric means understood by a small group or meant for a small selected group. Urbanism is our snarky way of saying BLACK. I also use this term to speak on my fashion and my contribution to DJ Culture. In this day and age many creative endeavors are considered BRANDS and Esoteric Urbanism is my brand. My art and music is connected by these words Esoteric Urbanism and it is the best way to describe my overall style with everything I do.
