Where do I begin? Grateful to the universe for connecting Seyed and me.Indeed, this is the stuff they make movies about. And there is absolutelynothing political here. Just us humans talking about a special journey. Seyedwas born in Northern Iran in 1974. A large family. A father addicted to drugs. An illiterate mother. He was not a good student, but received a special giftthat energized him. He graduated from a prestigious Iranian university andimmigrated to America in 2012. He got his PhD in Molecular Medicine. He’swritten numerous articles on cancer and reproductive health. AND WHY WE AREHERE TODAY. His amazing memoir, “In Search of Rain from Motel Ou to Pittsburgh:A Memoir for Everyone.” A must-listen-to interview. As I often do, here aresome words and thoughts from Seyed. He buried his father with his hands. Adifficult childhood. Don’t ever give up (He said this often). He had aninspiring teacher in a wheelchair in elementary school. A fifth-grade teachertold him that he can be better. What surprised Seyed most about America was itsdiversity; Living with tranquility. Human values. To have impossible dreams. (remindedme of the song). In search of rain means freedom and peace. His memoir took tenyears to write. It’s a beautiful and inspiring book. Seyed talked about AndrewCarnegie. And philanthropy. Trying to help people inspires him. Seyed hugelyinspired me.” Calvin🎙️ 845+ Interviews & Videos; 6 years, nearly 500 interviews on 6continents. He’s the particle of synchronicity with Aaron andme. Starting this brief intro off, Ihave sonnets on my mind in the arena of how Aaron Ryan fascinates andresonates. Let me count the ways. In other words, what you have to look forwardto here. He is an award-winning, bestselling author (multi-genres). Also, avoice actor, speaker, and prolific author of over 50 books. Fifty. His bestselling’‘Dissonance’ is a 6-book alien invasion saga. I asked him why so many likealien invasions. Aaron is the quintessential brilliant mind and writer, anall-around guy, musician, producer, stage performer, rock/pop artist, worshipleader, and paperboy. I could’ve danced all night. We could’ve talked allnight. Aaron is pure magic with a grasp on life and what’s important. He iscomposing a book that will never be published. A journal for his two sons. Suchdepth, caring, and love. Favorite author. J.R.R. Tolkien. He wrote his firstnovella when he was seven. An abundance of AI also happened here. Therefore, watch this. As I like to do. Some words and thoughts now. He is a Cancer, so hewrites organically. By the early 90’s, he knew he was a writer. His T-shirt. Ihave interviewed hundreds of authors. Aaron is the first. He does everything inreverse. He comes up with a book cover and then builds a story around that. Aquote, “Hope stronger than fear.” Groundhog Day. If you want to get better, stop marketing. No response. No lift. No results.Everything changed when I was hired as General Manager ofTelemedia Network Radio, then Canada’s largest radio syndication company. Weheld the broadcast rights for the Toronto Blue Jays, the Maple Leafs, anddozens of music and entertainment programs. Working with major agencies andworld-class brands, I noticed something powerful: the most effective campaignsdidn’t win by out-reasoning the competition. They made you feel somethingbefore you ever had time to think about it.I became determined to understand why. I immersed myself inEvolutionary Psychology, Behavioural Economics & Neuroscience, then turnedwhat I learned into a simple metaphorical framework that non-marketers couldactually grasp. I called it The Divided Brain. That insight led to a bold decision. If I could bring thisthinking back to local radio, I knew I’d have a unique advantage. So I left mydream job, struck out on my own, and bought my first radio station to test thetheory. The results exceeded anything I had imagined. Our company grew quickly, and our advertisers saw exceptional results.Larche Communications eventually grew to five radio stationsand a branding agency, earning more than 25 industry awards before successfulexits. The science worked. Now I’m sharing that advantage. I know stuff that works. I lived it. Jennifer’sjourney and teachings work. She is real and charming. As I do in these intros,I'll share some ideas and words from Jennifer. Playboy Bunny ContentCreator, Cam Girl . Scholar. Survivor. I weaponized my story. This memoir willmake people uncomfortable. The scandal was always intellectual.Behindthe polished titles and carefully curated image, I lived a life built inparallel worlds. By day, I was a PhD scholar—trained in discipline, language, and intellectual precision, moving through academic spaces that rewardedrestraint and perfection. By night, I stepped into entirely different versionsof myself: performer, model, fantasy, public persona—navigating spaces wherevisibility, desire, ambition, and performance blurred into something bothempowering and disorienting. This memoir is not about choosing between thoseworlds. It’s about what it costs to sustain them at the same time. It is astory of identity fracture and construction—of how ambition, survival, andself-invention can coexist until they start to compete. It explores the tensionbetween intellect and image, privacy and exposure, control and surrender, andwhat happens when every version of you begins to feel equally real… and equallydistant.

Energized, I reached out, something I’ve never done. Here weare. I love it when my cerebral process is swirling with input. Lindsay isbrilliant, accomplished, gracious, passionate, and consummate. (A Tony Award for the book, ‘Sound of Music.’) Her mother,Anna, was an actress and activist. She learned it’s a privilege to be an actor. Her father asked whether she wanted to act. He said, “It’s a dirty business.” I’m frozen, absorbingher words. She studied with Uta Hagen, Sandy Meisner (both legends), andElizabeth Dickson (who taught Katherine Hepburn). All that instructional energywent into Lindsay’s performance in ‘The Verdict.’ I watched the movie onSunday. Lindsay is amazingly riveting. Then her Academy Award-nominatedperformance in ‘Places in the Heart.’ Her director, Robert Benton, from Texas, was brilliant. The movie’s ending is brilliant. Someone said, after beingnominated for the Academy Award, “It will be tough for you now.” Working with her then-husband David Mamet in ‘House ofGames’. Justin is eloquent, caring, genuine, and brilliant. Heinspired many off-topic questions. Future thinks. This interview is essential.I think it's expedient to insert some ideas, words, concepts, and images intothis intro. Purpose. To induce viewing. You can look in someone’s eye and seepoverty. Poverty is something manufactured rather than accidental. It’s likeplaying basketball on a soccer field. (powerful imagery). He interviewed tens ofthousands of people. Main takeaway. How similar people are. Several times, heanswered, “Find Trust.” Reduce costs.Buy together. (for small businesses). Be gatherers, not hunters. Allow yourselfto fail. I heard the same thing last week in another interview. Modern financeis 75% psychology and 25% math. He’d like to spend a day with ThurgoodMarshall. So would I! Marshall’s father took him to court when he was a kid toobserve the court. Amazing parenting. The Shawshank Redemption. (an answer to aquestion) Dignity in escaping poverty. Love yourself first. ERAN ZIMRIN; Leadership in Child Protection and Mental Health Advocacy; Former, Manufacturing, Insurance.
#realconversations #childabuse #mentalhealth #trauma#childprotection CONVERSATIONS WITH CALVIN — WE THE SPECIESMeet ERAN ZIMRIN; “What resonated with me these past fewweeks, preparing for my interview with Eran, doing my due journalisticdiligence, is the overwhelming care, concern, devotion, advocacy, prevention, passion for dealing and healing, treating and being responsible for children, victims of trauma, abuse, emotional scars. This was a long run-on sentence. Sobe it. Eran exemplifies everything humanistic and idealistic by following hismother's example forty years ago, continuing ELI's work in caring for thesespecial children. He is eloquent, genuine, and his humanity radiates. I learnedso much. Yes, we hear and read about child abuse. But I had no idea of thedepths and the effects this would have on a human life going forward. I wasabsolutely mesmerized. This is the world’s problem. That makes us all citizensof the world. I’m especially sensitive to bringing up a child. I marvel everyday at the miracle of grandchildren. The love that goes into them comes out.And when that is damaged and hurt. A precious life is impacted. Eran works toheal, intervene, prevent, nurture, and treat. We all need to learn more. Forall the children. Heavy stuff. I’ve been illuminated by Eran. I’d like tobecome a bright light bulb thanks to Eran. Try this on. “This isn’t just aboutprotecting children from harm-it’s about protecting the possibility of who theymight become.”” CalvinHosted by Calvin Schwartz🎙️ 700+ Interviews &Videos📺 9,400+ Subscribers —and growing👉 Please Subscribe:https://www.youtube.com/c/ConversationswithCalvinWetheSpecIEsGLOBAL Reach. Crazy power failures and things lost in space. But it wasworth the wait. Peter is endearing, introspective, dedicated, illuminating, andbrilliant. Reminded me of Jimmy Stewart. He is the quintessenceof moving images, helping us see the world. He emanates devotion to craft andart. His film, ‘ApostasyBlues’ is a feature comedy drama. He is the writer, director, not thecinematographer. The premise is unique. A cult-leader raptures with donationmoney and then a manhunt. Comedy. Drama. I asked him, as a cinematographer, if he sees himself as a technician ora philosopher with a camera. Emphatically, he said more cinematic. I sensedthat. Balance life for what you believe in. Cinema can unite a divided culture.Part of his living comes from making commercials. Microbudget. I mentioned how that word has come up invirtually every interview so far. My fantasy. That would be Vincent (Vinnie). From the moment hecontacted me for an interview about his entry into the Garden State FilmFestival for his animated ‘The River Song,’ I knew meant to be. Vinnie and Iexplored that theme. Why? His song is a glimpse of when his family moved to theTides Motel along the riverfront of Shark River Hills. A long time ago. Also, along time ago, I spent childhood summers sitting on the jetty at Shark River. Aselfie I took of my adult foot on the jetty is the cover of my novel, There’s aTortoise in My Hair. Enough said. Vinnie is wondrously amazing, poignant, talented, brilliant, and effervescent. The cover of his song is priceless. I kept staring like I was in atrance. Vinnie filled up pages. Yes,watch the interview. He grew up poor, living in winter and summer rentals. Heloves rainy days. (a song?) His bike was stolen. He was gifted a guitar. Heteaches music these days. He drew pictures all the time. It’s funny, Diane Raver’s(founder of GSFF) father owned The Tides for a while. Wild stuff. He has dreamsof being attacked by a bear. Heavy stuff. We talked about human antennas.Spirituality. Yes, the Jersey shore. Vinnie is the Jersey Shore. BLAKE MERRIMAN; Actor, Writer, The Escort’; Screening at Garden State Film Festival
#realconversations #actor #writer #GSFF #Northwestern#DavidBowie #filmmaker #TheEqualizer CONVERSATIONS WITH CALVIN — WE THE SPECIESHosted by Calvin SchwartzMeet BLAKE MERRIMAN: “I marvel at the journey. Blake’screative journey was inspired by Northwestern, the School at Steppenwolf, andthe Maggie Flanagan studio. He’s poised, spirited, eloquent, and brilliant, sitting across the Zoom divide with me. Thinking I’m a lucky guy to be exposedto this passionate insight. His first short film, ‘The Escort,’ (screening atthe Garden State Film Festival) is hugely provocative to me. The film is abouttwo people trying to connect through incompatibility. I heard him say, “Let goof what you want and do what you need.” Powerful stuff. He’d like to spend aday with David Bowie. I love this segment, Blake mentioned Al Pacino in‘Serpico’ and asked if I knew what Save The Cat was. Not. He explained (withhis great depth into the film business), “The core concept is that a heroshould do something likable early on (the "save the cat" moment) tomake the audience root for them.” It became part of a screenwriting course andbook. I was taking notes. Blake laughed when I told him, “Two pages already.”“Words of advice”, I asked. “Show up early, know lines, be flexible, and bekind.” Final analysis. A hugely fun interview.” Calvin🎙️ 750+ Interviews &Videos📺 9,500+ Subscribers —and growing👉 Please Subscribe:https://www.youtube.com/c/ConversationswithCalvinWetheSpecIEsGLOBAL Reach. Earth Life. There was no Sundaybasketball, Monday Night Football, and the World Series came and went with allthe pomp and circumstances of a routine dental appointment. My earliestmemories are going to the movies. Always. Whenever possible. In the summers, Iprayed for rain because that meant no beach, and instead we would go to the oldmovie house on the boardwalk. To say I’d discovered my passion early would be arank understatement. There was no choice in the matter. To me, movies, art, acting, and writing were everything. learned the discipline of being an actor, an enormous appreciation for thecraft. Soon though, I realized that I wanted to be on the other side. SYNOPSIS: www.nightisforscreaming.com “Night is for Screaming” is a horror/comedy/thriller.But it is also a celebration of the craft of filmmaking. It is the culminationand the enormous next step in what has already been a fruitful career. It is astory of a woman, haunted by trauma, desperately seeking a moral compass, coming to grips with her internal and external violence and, most tragically, facing motherhood for the first time. It is the story of a haunted family withsinister secrets and even more sinister intentions. It is the story of thenight when these terrible, violent, and desperate characters come together in agory battle of wills, conscience, and the truth behind their individualrealities.A runaway train of action and gallows humor lead afascinating, diverse cast of characters to hell and back—and then to hellagain. It is a movie for audiences, by one of cinema's most loyal audiencemembers.**
