ANDREW NICCOL - One of the world's most distinctive filmmakers, Andrew Niccol emerged from the world of commercial directing to write the 1998 classic movie "The Truman Show" before writing and directing a string of visionary films about technology and war and their effect on our humanity, including "Gattaca" (Koz's favorite scifi film ever), "Lord of War," "SimOne", "In Time" and his latest, "Good Kill," starring Ethan Hawke as a US drone pilot and the devastating psychological effects of this seemingly safer form of warfare. He spoke with Koz about his career, the causes that drive his work and the dangers of drone warfare.
