கரிசல் மண்ணின் கதைசொல்லி பூமணி: ஓர் நினைவு நேர்காணல்

தமிழ் இலக்கிய உலகின் முக்கியமான படைப்பாளிகளில் ஒருவரான எழுத்தாளர் பூமணி மறைந்தார். கரிசல் மண்ணின் மக்களையும், அவர்களின் வாழ்க்கையையும், சமூக உறவுகளையும் மிகுந்த யதார்த்தத்துடன் தனது படைப்புகளில் பதிவு செய்தவர் பூமணி. அவரது அஞ்ஞாடி நாவலுக்காக இந்தியாவின் உயரிய இலக்கிய விருதுகளில் ஒன்றான சாகித்ய அகாதமி விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது. அந்த விருது வழங்கப்பட்ட காலப்பகுதியில், 2014ஆம் ஆண்டு, எழுத்தாளர் பூமணியை நாம் நேர்காணல் செய்திருந்தோம். 12 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட அந்த நேர்காணலை, எழுத்தாளர் பூமணியின் நினைவாக மீண்டும் உங்களுக்காக ஒலிபரப்புகிறோம். அவருடன் உரையாடியவர்: றைசெல்.Writer Poomani, one of the most important figures in the Tamil literary world, has passed away. Through his works, Poomani portrayed with great realism the people of the Karisal region, their lives and their social relationships. He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award, one of India’s most prestigious literary honours, for his novel Agnaadi. Around the time he received the award in 2014, we interviewed writer Poomani.
